"How much does parking lot striping cost?" is the first question almost every property owner asks — and the honest answer is it depends on your lot. Below is what actually drives the price, so you know what to expect before you call.
What affects the cost of parking lot striping
- Number of stalls. Most striping is priced around the line work, so a 30-stall lot costs far less than a 200-stall lot.
- Re-stripe vs. new layout. Re-painting existing lines is the most affordable option. Laying out a brand-new or blank lot takes more time and measurement, so it costs more.
- Extras and markings. ADA stalls, fire lanes, crosswalks, arrows, "no parking" stencils, and curb painting each add to the total.
- Lot condition. A faded but intact layout is quick. A lot with worn-off lines, sealcoat, or oil stains takes more prep.
- Travel. We're based in Lincoln and serve Omaha and all of Nebraska; longer drives add a small travel charge.
- Day vs. overnight. Overnight work for busy retail or medical lots can affect scheduling and price.
Re-stripe or full layout?
If your stalls are still visible, a re-stripe is the budget-friendly choice — we paint right over the existing layout to bring it back to crisp and bright. If the lines are gone, or it's new construction, a new layout maximizes your stall count and keeps you ADA-compliant. Not sure which you need? We'll tell you straight.
Why we don't list one flat price
Anyone quoting a single "lot price" sight-unseen is guessing. We give you an itemized, no-minimum quote built around your actual lot — often using aerial imagery, so you don't have to wait for an on-site visit. You see exactly what you're paying for, with no surprises.
What shows up on a striping quote
A good quote breaks the job into line items so you can see exactly what you're paying for. Ours are built from the same pieces:
- Parking stall lines (by the linear foot), re-stripe or new layout
- ADA stalls and access-aisle hatching
- Fire lanes and curb painting
- Directional arrows, crosswalks and stencils (“No Parking,” “Stop Here,” and similar)
- Wheel stops and bollard or safety painting
- Travel, if the lot is outside the Lincoln area
How to compare striping quotes
- Itemized or lump sum? A single lot price hides what's included. Itemized quotes let you compare like for like.
- Same scope? Check that every quote covers the same stalls, ADA work, fire lanes and stencils.
- Re-stripe or new layout? These are priced differently; make sure each bidder assumed the same one.
- Travel and minimums: ask whether there's a mobilization charge or a minimum job size.
- Paint: ask what paint is used — we use Sherwin Williams oil-based traffic paint.
